About us page
Celleron Therapeutics is an oncology healthcare company dedicated to developing unique cancer therapies and technologies that improve the performance of regular cancer treatments.
The future of cancer therapy lies in the ability to target new medicines to responsive tumours, The company has a portfolio of unique cancer therapies underpinned by a proprietary biomarker technology. All of which are the result of many years experience in cancer drug development and clinical practice.
Celleron’s current pipeline includes three clinical products and several pre-clinical stage opportunities that target key pathways involved with tumour cell growth.
Two novel and proprietary derivatives of camptothecin, diflomotecan and elomotecan, are in clinical studies. Both products have clear advantages over competing drugs, and a defined clinical development strategy guided by biomarker expression. CXD101 is a novel histone deacetylase inhibitor in clinical studies, and the clinical programme CT100 is focussed on a proprietary compound that exploits the chemical basis of the natural product quercetin. CT200 is developing compounds that reinstate normal growth control by reactivating the checkpoint response in tumour cells, and CT300 is focussed on a platform of novel kinase inhibitors.
A key value driver reflects Celleron’s ability to derive functionally important biomarkers that can be exploited to predict the sensitivity of tumours to drugs, and thereby stratify patients into improved responder groups
Celleron’s proprietary biomarker platform, CancerNav™ is a validated tool that identifies biomarkers which enable cancer drugs to be targeted to responsive tumours. CancerNav™ is a generally applicable platform which underpins Celleron’s clinical trials.
Celleron has adopted an aggressive business model towards reaching critical mass and a sustainable product portfolio.
Advanced discussions are underway with pharmaceutical companies offering complementary products with a view to establishing cost effective partnerships. The current product portfolio and technology platform provides a variety of lucrative and commercially attractive partnership opportunities.
Celleron is an oncology business, devoted to developing targeted cancer medicines, with many points of difference from other competing cancer companies. As such, Celleron should make an attractive acquisition target for companies wishing to strengthen or move into the oncology space.
Celleron is seeking sufficient funds which on current budget assumptions would take the company through to clinical exemplification of its key products.
Its operational model is one of strategic outsourcing, where scientific and clinical activities are placed in research, development and clinical centres of excellence. This commercial strategy provides a cost-effective business model that ensures maximum use of and value creation for investor funds.
Celleron is currently located in Oxford, UK, with a close relationship to the University of Oxford and the new Oxford Institute of Cancer Medicine.
We are interested in hearing from investors who are keen to support us in our ambitious plans. .
